Marketing and Branding Apps

Tailwind is an amazing autoschedule program that’s used for marketing on Pinterest. Pinterest is one of the top traffic sources for my Etsy shop so this app is definitely worth the money (it’s only $10 a month!).

Canva is an awesome design tool that I use for branding my Etsy shop as well as my blog. I’m a graphic designer and I actually prefer Canva over Photoshop (it’s just soooo much easier and faster!). They have free Etsy cover templates available which you can customize and use for your shop.

Bluehost Webhosting and Domain Name

If you’re ever considering creating your own website for your online business then I would highly recommend using Bluehost for your hosting and domain name. Bluehost is seriously so inexpensive and they are a really reputable company!

When it comes to keeping up with my finances, Outright by GoDaddy has been the best solution so far for my Etsy shop. Outright can sync up with your Etsy account and it will automatically import your sales, fees, etc into the system so you don’t have to add it all manually! You can also sync it to your bank account. That way you’ll never miss logging a transaction.

My favorite part about Outright is that it makes tax time so easy. It automatically generates an estimate of the taxes that you will owe quarterly (this is for US residents). It also generates profit and loss statements, a Schedule C and much more!

DYMO 4XL Printer

I cannot say enough about the DYMO 4XL label printer. I invested in this bad boy about a year ago and I absolutely love it. The DYMO 4XL label printer uses a heat technology to print the labels, so it requires absolutely NO INK! It’s also super fast at printing and has cut my time spent packing down dramatically.

If you’re interested in purchasing the DYMO 4XL printer but you’re not sure if you want to take the leap then check out the 5 reasons why you need a DYMO printer for your online business. I also recommend the 4 pack of label rolls through Amazon (it’s only $30 for 880 labels!!).

Smart Weigh Digital Heavy Duty Shipping and Postal Scale

If you’re looking for a scale for your online business then I highly recommend the Smart Weigh Digital Heavy Duty Shipping and Postal Scale. It’s a nice size so all of my larger packages fit perfectly on it and it calculates the correct weight for my packages which is super important. When I first started out selling online I was using a general kitchen scale and it would sometimes be off by an ounce or two and the USPS ended up charging my customers extra for shipping! It was a mess. I haven’t had any problems with weight calculations using this scale.

Techy Stuff

Apple iMac 27″ Desktop Computer

After struggling for YEARS with Windows based computers, I finally pulled the plug (literally!). I went ahead and purchased the Apple iMac 27″ Desktop Computer. I have had this computer for 3 years now and it’s a beast! Seriously, I never have to worry about my computer freezing. I do tons of graphic design work that would absolutely kill a Windows computer, and my iMac handles it like a champ. Plus it looks cool 🙂
